Pitch A Game

A few weeks ago I proposed a game app for my storytelling class. The game is interactive and is one that makes the challenge self-imposed. The game which I proposed is a recycling app. Therefore, the first hurdle I would have to tackle would be “Why?” and “What?” The why is quite simple, to help and maintain the planets sustainability. The what, is for the future, how it will impact the lives of others. Selling an idea has to have a motivation attached with emotions. Being able to make a sales pitch relevant, will have a stronger impact on the potential investors. Statistics and analytics will also sway decisions when dealing with someone else’s money.

In order for a venture capitalist to get on board, I would make an action plan and lay out objectives, agendas and goals to establish value, and credibility. I would seek out environmentalist, WHO organizers, recycling establishments. The budget would outline the criteria of disbursement and a working timeline of completion.

Focus would be on staff and creative personnel including: designers, managers, testers, and code writers. Objective of the game, parameters and policies, as well as rewards will institute how the game is developed, engaged and complete. The game would be in development for one and half years and in beta test for six months. Allowing for the two year R&D process will allow for modifications and refined tweaking to ensure the stability and success of the game.
